It is with profound sadness that we mark the passing of Helen Tarnoy, one of the founding figures of Anergi and a respected leader whose vision, dedication and strength helped shape the company during its formative years.
Helen was among the small group of individuals who transformed an ambitious idea into a business that would go on to develop, invest in and operate power infrastructure across Africa. At a time when private participation in the continent's power sector was still emerging, she helped lay the foundations of a company built on entrepreneurship, resilience and a belief in Africa's potential.
Over many years, Helen played a central role in the growth and development of the business. Her leadership, commercial insight and unwavering commitment were instrumental in building an organisation that would establish a presence across multiple African markets and contribute to the delivery of critical energy infrastructure.
