Technical Director

Wayne Lindecke is an electrical engineer with 35 years of international experience in the power generation sector. He spent his first seventeen years within the utility environment, working across operations, maintenance, engineering, refurbishment, and life-extension projects, as well as overseeing general power plant management. This foundation gave him broad, hands-on exposure to the full operational requirements of power-generating assets.
For the past 18 years, he has specialised in consulting and engineering for power project development across thermal technologies—coal, oil and natural gas—as well as renewable energy including wind, PV, and concentrated solar power. His work spans the full project lifecycle: conceptual and feasibility studies, basic and detailed design, EPC and contractor procurement, implementation, commissioning, operations and maintenance, refurbishment and life-extension, and broader asset management.
Over the past decade, Wayne has focused extensively on project development and management. His expertise includes regulatory processes, environmental authorisation, EPC and O&M procurement, PPA finalisation, funder due-diligence support, maintenance strategies, long-term service agreements, major maintenance planning, energy optimisation, and repowering assessments. He has acted as an expert consultant to utilities and IPP developers across gas turbine, coal, solar (CSP), wind and hydro projects, with responsibilities ranging from budgeting and staffing requirements to drafting and negotiating O&M contracts.
