Maria Stratonova

Acting Head of Business Development

Maria led the development of two projects in West Africa which successfully reached financial close; Amandi Energy in Ghana and Azura-Edo IPP, both of which commenced construction in 2016. Maria led the team in the EPC, LTSA, O&M and CM negotiations, aspects of PPA, financing, insurances and other parts of the project. 

Prior to joining Aldwych International, now Anergi, Maria held the position of VP at MTM Capital. Here, she focused on sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities in the energy and natural resources sector; specifically renewable energy in the MENA region, mainland China, and Southern Europe.  

Maria also worked in the Global Natural Resources and Power investment banking team at Goldman Sachs and as a project manager in the Applied Chemicals and Materials Group of Arthur D. Little in Cambridge, MA. She has transaction advisory experience in the independent power production and integrated and regulated utility sectors. 

Maria holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Mendeleev State University in Moscow.
