Amarish is driven by a strong commitment to advancing impactful energy projects, not only across Africa but also beyond its borders. His extensive expertise in both corporate and project finance makes him an invaluable member of Anergi’s executive team. Since joining Anergi (formerly known as Aldwych International) in 2006, Amarish has excelled in a succession of senior leadership roles, most notably as Deputy Finance Director and Senior Manager – Strategy and Corporate Development. His direct leadership as Chief Financial Officer at Lake Turkana Wind Power was instrumental in shaping one of Africa’s most significant renewable energy initiatives.
In his present role, Amarish leads Anergi’s overall financial strategy and operations. His responsibilities encompass the oversight of treasury management, the management of group investments, and the direction of tax planning. As a steadfast member of Anergi’s Finance and Investment Committee, Amarish plays a pivotal role in steering the company’s financial decision-making processes. His governance extends further, serving as a Board Director and Risk and Audit Committee (RAC) member at Lake Turkana Wind Power, as well as contributing his expertise as a RAC member for Nant Power. In addition, Amarish supports Anergi’s UK-based entities by acting as Company Secretary, ensuring robust corporate governance and compliance.
Amarish is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Westminster. His unwavering dedication to excellence and his collaborative approach are key factors that continue to support Anergi’s ongoing success and growth.
