Suyi plays a key role in developing and implementing Anergi’s strategic and commercial objectives, including fundraising, growth initiatives, optimising internal corporate processes, stakeholders’ engagement and deal execution processes. He also leads Anergi’s Legal and Compliance functions.

Suyi possesses significant experience advising on and executing a wide range of corporate, commercial and financing transactions, with a particular focus on the development, financing, acquisition and divestment of power, energy and infrastructure assets across sub-Saharan Africa. 

He serves on the board of several Anergi group entities and portfolio companies, including Lake Turkana Wind Power Limited, Anergi Africa Developments Limited, and Anergi Azura Limited.

Before joining Anergi, Suyi worked as an international transactional lawyer at Slaughter and May (London), Aluko & Oyebode (Lagos), Linklaters (London) and Dentons (London), respectively. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree with first-class honours from the University of Buckingham and a Master of Laws degree with merit from the London Schools of Economics and Political Science. 

Suyi writes and regularly speaks on a wide range of transactional, corporate governance-related and socio-economic developmental matters in sub-Saharan Africa. He is also passionate about mentoring students and young professionals.
