Djermaya Solar

Chad 32 MW Solar

Anergi (through its subsidiary, Anergi Africa Developments Limited) was contracted by InfraCo Africa as the lead developer of phase one of this project. Anergi retains an investment option.

This project will involve the construction of an initial 32 MWp solar PV plant in Djermaya, 30km north of Chad’s capital, N’Djamena. The development of Djermaya Solar will be phased to gradually integrate renewable power into Chad’s national grid. The first 32 MWp phase will be followed by a second 28 MWp phase. To further reinforce system stability, the project’s design integrates proven single-axis trackers PV technology and a pioneering battery energy storage system (BESS). Once completed, the project will be one of Chad’s first Independent Power Producers (IPP) and one of the country’s first commercial-scale solar plants.
